Śamatha: The Buddhist practice of the calming of the mind.
Malaise: A generalized feeling of discomfort, illness, or lack of well-being; a feeling that “something is not right”. Malaise can often be both the cause and symptom of depression.

Dhyāna: A form of Buddhist meditation. It refers to various states of samadhi, a state of consciousness in which the observer detaches from several qualities of the mind. In this state the mind has become firm and stable and the ability to concentrate is greatly enhanced.
